Shelter House is collecting your old cell phones. Shelter House uses your old phones in one of two ways:
- If your cell phone is working and has a charger, we will give your phone to a victim of domestic violence as an emergency 911 cell phone. No service will be attached to it, but it serves as a safety feature for them.
- If your cell phone doesn't work, doesn't have a battery or is broken, we will recycle your cell phone through Shelter Alliance, and all proceeds will go towards sustaining our existing programs.
Shelter House understands your privacy so please delete all your contacts prior to donating your phone. If you don't know how to delete them, we will do so before we convert the phone into a 911 phone.
